Therefore, if we are created in God's image we are created for relationship.
Rev. Dr. Matthew Vandagriff, Senior Pastor
Why KBC?
This question might seem absurd on our website, because you at least made it this far, you are looking for a church or you are trying to decide whether going to church matters. You might want someone to sell you on the idea of how going to Church will give you joy and happiness and everything will be better. That might happen if you go to Church and if it does that’s wonderful.

At the same time, we believe that we have been created in the image of God. We believe that we worship a triune God, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit eternally tethered together. Therefore, if we are created in God’s image we are created for relationship. That is what the Church is about, it is about relationship with God and with one another. That means we cannot know ourselves fully and be transformed by God if life is about “Jesus and Me.” We need one another to teach us, challenge us, encourage us, and carry us. That does not mean that Church is easy. The Church is filled with flawed and fallible people walking the path of Christ to God. We would love to have you join us on the journey.

I would also like to add this personal note, KBC is the type of church I have wanted to be a part of for a long while. It’s the type of congregation where my family and I would attend if I was not a pastor. Now before you think, “You have to say that, you are the pastor.” My family and I moved to Missouri from Houston, TX, not because we wanted to move to St. Louis, but because we wanted to be a part of this congregation. We do not have family here and truth be told my first trip to St. Louis was part of an interview with KBC. We took a risk moving away from where we were, and we did that because we believe God called us to be a part of this community. I believe if you join alongside us, you will know the presence of God.
