Connections for Children and Preschoolers

KBC provides nourishing opportunities for you, your children and your entire family to connect in a Christian community for all seasons. Sprout, grow, and find some roots to hang on to in that fabulous, sometimes furiously fast, and riotously fun ride we call family. Opportunities are here for you to connect with your child, to connect with other families, to connect with your KBC church family, and for your child to connect with Jesus.

Worship As our children begin Kindergarten, they are developmentally ready to join our service of worship. We provide a variety of ways to engage and educate our children. Children’s sermons are included in most services. Quiet bags are located in the credenza in the Narthex for use during worship services. Children’s bulletins with appropriate activities that support the theme of the worship service are provided every week.

Reducing the Risk All volunteers and staff who work with minors (birth-age 18) have participated in the “Reducing the Risk” training session and have made commitments and submitted to public records checks to provide the safest possible learning environment for our children. Additional two hour training events of “Reducing the Risk” published by Christianity Today, will be offered periodically. The video based training is in its’ third edition. The class time will include discussion facilitated by Rev. Donna Watts, Associate Pastor for Christian Education. At the conclusion of the training, we will ask that a commitment form be completed.
