Bereavement Service Team In an act of solace and solidarity the Bereavement Service Team provides a meal to families who have lost a loved one. Volunteers are always needed to bring food during these times when little things can mean the most.
FAFF Fun After Fifty Five is a monthly dinner gathering of friendly folks at a fun age! To join in the fun, come to one of the monthly dinners held the 2nd Tuesday of the month.
Family Lunch Bunch BYOSC (Bring Your Own Sippy Cup) This group of families with children birth – 5th grade meet quarterly for a time of lunch and fellowship. Always easy, always fun!
God’s Green Earth Service Team The GGEST strives to both promote the good stewardship of the earth at KBC and carry out activities to help its members do the same including paper shredding, and an annual tree give away.
Jack or Jill with Handy Skills? There are always small jobs that need to be done around the church. A list is in the church office of problem areas. If you have time and skills and would like to help with one of these projects your help would be greatly appreciated.
Media Library The Media Library is the resource center for all media kept at KBC. Help is needed to catalogue new books, maintain current resources and staff the media center during operating hours.
Thanksgiving Dinner Each year the church celebrates Thanksgiving with a dinner the Sunday before Thanksgiving. Volunteers are needed to help spread the good cheer and grateful blessing through decorating, serve and clean up.
Van Service Team If the terms grease monkey, socket, or horse power rev your engines this might be the volunteer team for you. Maintaining our church vehicles is top priority for this team. The KBC Vans provide a tremendous amount of valuable mobility services for our church family. Help in this team is always welcomed.
Youth Ministry The KBC Youth ministry is dedicated to creating a safe place for youth to discover their greatness in Christ and the tools for a lifelong relationship with God. Discipleship, fellowship, mission, and worship opportunities, abound to offer unique and varied opportunities for youth to encounter Christ and embrace the strength of relationships built in the KBC Youth experience.
It takes many people using their gifts to offer authentic and meaningful worship experiences. Every contribution is valued and valuable.
Worship Readers Clearly articulating God’s Word is very important part of worship. Each week in worship volunteers are involved in reading scripture.
Electronic Media Proper balance of our sound system is a critical part of our worship service. We always welcome qualified volunteers to help staff this position. Training is available.
Visual Aspects of Worship A varied approach to visual aesthetics in our sanctuary strengthens our worship. If you have interest related to the “visual” aspects of our worship services we would love to have you participate.
Ushers & Greeters Welcome Ministry We all know the importance a good first impression and the joy of building lasting relationships. Our Ushers and Greeters play a huge part in connecting with our members and visitors. If you’re a people person we would love to have the blessing of your positive and cheerful personality greeting worshipers on Sunday morning.
Welcome Center Like to be at the center of it all helping others? Each Sunday morning volunteers are needed to greet members and visitor’s and assist in directing them to a Sunday School class or finding their way in the building.
Worship Care Worship Care is a group of volunteers who care for our preschool children during the 10:30 am worship service. If you are interesting in volunteering four times a year contact the church office for more information.
Reducing the Risk All volunteers and staff who work with minors (birth-age 18) have participated in the “Reducing the Risk” training session and have made commitments and submitted to public records checks to provide the safest possible learning environment for our children. Additional two hour training events of “Reducing the Risk” published by Christianity Today, will be offered periodically. Over the next few months there will be several training sessions available. The video based training is in its’ third edition. The class time will include discussion facilitated by Rev. Donna Watts, Associate Pastor for Christian Education. At the conclusion of the training, we will ask that a commitment form be completed.
