There are a variety of ways for churches, organizations, or individuals to participate in Hands on Kirkwood. Below is a description the various HOK partner relationships. Hands on Partners
Individuals, churches, and organizations who provide leadership, volunteers and/or financial resources. Organizations leading the way in 2013 include Carrollton Bank, Community Covenant Church, Concordia Lutheran of Kirkwood, Grace Episcopal Church, Harrison Avenue MBC, Kirkwood Baptist Church, Mid-East Area Agency on Aging, Midwest Recycling Center, Nestle-Purina, Shred-It, St. Louis Community College at Meramec and Westwood Automotive. Friends of HOK
Individuals or groups who join in and/or participate in projects with Hands on Kirkwood but do not participate in the leadership team. 2011 Friends of HOK include the Community Gospel Choir, First Presbyterian Church Kirkwood, Kirkwood Early Childhood Center, the Kirkwood Human Rights Commission, KHS Social Justice Club, Kirkwood Police Department, Kirkwood Police Chaplains,Kirkwood Public Library, Kirkwood Rotary, Kirkwood United Church of Christ, Kirkwood United Methodist, Kirkwood YMCA, Schnuck’s, Shop N Save, Scout Troops, and Webster Groves Christian Church.
Agencies receiving volunteers to help with their service to the community. 2011 Serving Agencies include Father Dickson Cemetery, Kirk Care, Kirkwood House, Kirkwood Parks and Recreation, Mary Culver Home, MSD, Nurses for Newborns, the Rose Hill House, St. Agnes Home, and Webster-Kirkwood Shepherd’s Center.
