Worship

The KBC tapestry represents the community of God. The background color, burgundy, matches the color of the carpet in the sanctuary and represents the Kirkwood Baptist community. The circles represent each of us and our relationship to each other. The gold represents the presence of God, surrounding and interweaving our lives with everlasting love. The interlocking circles show how our lives are woven together into a community of love for each other and for God. The different fabrics and colors show our diversity. Some fabrics are rough in texture while others are smooth as silk. Some colors are very bright and exciting while others are more somber in tone. Woven together they make a wonderful statement of what working together and loving each other can become. The gold threads of God accept all. The open strands of gold represent room for more to be included. The extending rows of circles remind us to reach out and accept all in love and in the name of God.
