Hello, and welcome to Department B —the sharing department!
John Truex, Director
Department B consists of a gregarious group of adults—primarily couples between sixty and eighty years of age—who not only love to study the Word of God, but also love to live by the Word of God. Our members come from various sections of the St. Louis Metropolitan area—Kirkwood, Webster Groves, Sunset Hills, Town & Country, Chesterfield—even High Ridge, St. Charles and St. Peters.
We currently meet as one large group, led by Mr. Jerry Schober, a thirty-seven-year veteran of the U. S. National Park Service, where he was in charge of the St. Louis Arch for twelve years. Jerry has been teaching Sunday School classes since 1957. Included in this class are teachers, small business owners, chemists, major company corporate executives, engineers and homemakers. We use the Smyth & Helwys Formations curriculum.
Our group has regular social activities—usually on a quarterly basis—in member's homes, at public parks, and at the church. The cuisine is always superb because of the culinary expertise of class members. This is surpassed only by the quality of the fellowship.
