Serbia - Monday Sept. 11
Wow, what a day, and what a contradiction to what this day is typically remembered for. We began the day at an early 7:30. The men drove to Bela Cykva, where we spent the day “mudding’ the interior walls and building a bathroom in the shell of the church. The women in our group spent the day meeting with the women’s group in Vrsac, and leading the children in VBS-like activities. There were, rumors report, many joyous tears involved in the women’s activities, and there was good progress in men’s work. We joined together for the Monday evening prayer meeting at Vrsac, and at 7:30 went to our host families. It was 12 hours of fruitful fun!
There are many good pictures which report better than words the work and joy of our group. Internet access here is difficult, so we’re finding it hard to upload those pictures. But keep looking, because there’s hope for an internet café tomorrow!
