The KBC Sanctuary Choir has earned a well-deserved “pause” that will begin after this Sunday’s worship service, on June 25th. There will be NO WEDNESDAY NIGHT REHEARSALS until July 26th (starting at 7:00 p.m.); and there will be other music groups of choirs, soloists, and ensembles filling the anthem slots, in both the first and second services, in the month of July.

You can look forward to hearing from trumpeter Susan Slaughter, soprano Christine Westhoff (wife of organist Tim Allen), and some other fine musicians, both from our congregation and borrowed! It is our hope that the choir will return refreshed from their break and encouraged from being able to participate in worship in a different way. They will also be listening around for other singers who need to either “re-join” us or who need to join us for the first time!

For those who have signed up to sing in an ensemble on July 16th (anthem-Here I Am), please meet on Wed., July 12th, at 7:00, in the sanctuary for a rehearsal. For those singing in the ensemble on July 30th (anthem-Yet Will I Sing), please meet on Wed., July 26th, after the regularly scheduled choir rehearsal, for your rehearsal.

Rehearsals resume on July 26th, at 7:00 and the choir will be singing in both Sunday morning services on Sunday, Aug. 6th. The anthem will be A Jubilant Song!
There will be a “Welcome, Greg/welcome back, choir” party the 9th of August! Please join us, if you’d like to see what the ministry of choral music is all about!
